In August there was a big gala event held to celebrate the birthday of one of the Hotel owners, Drew Sutton. For this summer evening event there was a red and gold striped canopy hung from the front facade of the Hotel across the swimming pool creating the effect of an Arabian Nights theme. Friends, guests, and locals joined in the fun to help celebrate Drew's birthday. All attending were given a voucher for free Pimm's cocktails and before the evening was up several party-goers ended up in the swimming pool fully dressed.
